WE. (Wood Embroidery Exhibition)

A result of our experimental design.

WE. would like to explore and play with specific know-how of the wood industry integrated with the textile industry, by emphasizing the proficient know-how in production through an experimental design.

The series of contemporary wooden chairs with embroidery patterns on the backrest is inspired by the traditional Ming Chair and the graphic element of the Chippendale Chair. An embroidery graphic element of “Endless Knot” on the center of the backrest, presents a hint of a greeting message through a piece of furniture. Expanding details of the knot to expose the importance of connections.
